This year, we need YOUR help...
Our Rotary Club has served Spruce Grove and the surrounding area for over 30 years, making it a better place to live, play, and work. The Grove Rotary Ribfest is a celebration of our community that we want everyone to feel welcome at. First and foremost, we want you to enjoy yourselves, but we think it's important to know that your enjoyment will make the lives of others a lot better, too. We'll use the money raised by the event to fund our programs and causes in our community that help those in need, that provide amenities for Spruce Grove's citizens to enjoy, and to develop the leaders of tomorrow.
At this year's event, net proceeds from the Grove Rotary Ribfest will be split: 50% will go to the Rotary Club of Spruce Grove, 25% will go to Neighbourlink Parkland, and 25% will go to Our Community Pantry.
Neighbourlink Parkland is dedicated to addressing the immediate needs of our neighbours with generosity, dignity, and compassion. Through partnerships with community agencies and referral sources, they provide guidance, resources, and advocacy to empower and equip vulnerable and marginalized individuals in our community.
After seeing children eat food from a trash can in a park, two Spruce Grove Rotarians vowed “not in my community” and made it their goal to improve the food security of children and their families. That day in the park was the beginning of what is now “Our Community Pantry”. Through its school lunch program, the Pantry provides over 850 lunches every week of the school year to children in local schools. The lunches not only feed children, but also tell them that there's a community who cares about them. The Pantry also operates a family meal program to help families struggling with food insecurity by providing them a weekly meal package consisting of cooked meals and food rescue items. Pantry volunteers pick up food rescue items twice a week from community-owned North Central Co-op grocery store.

Rotary brings together a global network of volunteer leaders who dedicate their time and talent to tackle the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges in Spruce Grove and communities around the world.
